Starting from our pier behind the “Lindau” casino, this very special trip takes us past the “Lindau” harbour entrance with the famous lion and lighthouse, “Bad Schachen”, then heads for the peninsula of “Wasserburg”, “Nonnenhorn” and “Kressbronn”. After crossing the “Upper Lake” to the “Rheinspitz” on the Swiss shore, we enter the rivermouth of the “Old Rhine” River, known as a nature and wildlife sanctuary of the “Alten Rhein” (on the Swiss/Austrian boarder). After a roughly 6 km ride up the river to “Rheineck”, we spend some time enjoying the lovely nature in the area. Next we return along the Austrian shore past the nature reserves of “Wetterwinkel” and “Rohrspitz”, the new river mouth of the “Rhine”, “Bregenz” and its popular lakeside theatre, before finally crossing the Bay of “Bregenz” back to the German shore and our pier.
